Dunes of the Headless - Death

www.die2nite.com

I unfortunately did not survive the zombie attack last night :(
189 zombies attacked the town. With only 136 defenses, 11 citizens were killed with another 6 becoming terrorised.

So far I haven't managed to survive past 4 days. I was optimistic about this last town, but alas..

Dunes of the Headless - Day 4

www.die2nite.com

We survived another night, although I am not optomistic that the town will be able to repeat that. The current estimate of zombies attacking tonight is 200. 200 zombies against our (as of this time) 82 defense. The simple math shows that we will obviously be torn to pieces and eaten come midnight.

It's a shame that it seems our town will be eradicated tonight. The number of attacking zombies jumped a huge amount, and there is no way we could have been defended in only 4 days. Zombies don't play fair, I guess!

Dunes of the Headless - Day 3

http://www.die2nite.com/

Day 3 is slowly drawing to a close, with not too much to report. We have completed the workshop and watchtower, with a few civilians jumping on board and converting some of the scrap metal and twisted planks.

A member of the town was shunned due to very selfish and abusive behaviour. He has now locked himself inside his house, and is refusing to leave. This prevents the other town members from taking the useful items he is storing inside. Frustrating, but very entertaining!

As you can see, the map is looking a lot more explored than yesterday. This is great, as it shows a lot of people are scavanging for useful items and bringing them back to town.
The estimated size of attack tonight has a maximum of 90 zombies. At the start of today, we had around 70 defense so I believe we will have no problem increasing this before the horde of zombies attack tonight.

Dunes of the Headless - Day 2

http://www.die2nite.com/

Our town survived the night, with no deaths within the gates. Seven fell to the zombies as they were outside of the town's walls.

Today I have set off scavanging with a friend from my coalition. So far not much to report from within the town. We have built a workshop, and am currently pumping AP into the watch tower.

Dunes of the Headless - Day 1

http://www.die2nite.com/

A new day, a new coalition, and a new town. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the previous!

We have 14 citizens, with 5 being part of my coalition. So far it's looking fairly organised, with someone posting a quality guide with what to do and what not to do when starting out.

I think once again I'll head out and start scavanging. I've created a map based on my profile identifier. This basically takes my play data and uses it on a map of our town and area. The purpose is to have an up-to-date view of our surrounding zones and info, such as zombie counts, loot, players, and so on.

Taciturn Mines - Day 2

I made a huge mistake last night and forgot to get to the safety of the town.
Woke up this morning with a lovely message describing how the zombies easily found me in the desert and enjoyed tearing me to pieces.

Maybe it was for the best, as it turns out that no one closed the gates in the town. This led to 3 people being eaten, and another 3 becoming terrorised. So it seems that my optimism for this town ended up being incorrect!

Tonight or tomorrow will see myself and my friends forming another coalition. Hopefully the next town will survive longer..

Taciturn Mines - Day 1

I started a coalition with 3 other friends, so we could all join the same town and attempt to work together.

The town is known as "Taciturn Mines", with only 11 citizens for the time being. While this will make cooperation easier, it also means there will be a lack of global AP to be used for scavanging and constructing.

I've decided to act as a scavanger for this town, so hopefully others will dedicate themselves to construction and upgrades.

Jungle of the Headless - Day 3

Day 3 shaped up to be quite productive from my scavanging. I headed north and brought back to the town numerous twisted planks, cans, some cement, and a compact detonator.

Construction has been trickling along, although our citizens need to inject more AP into our defenses. AP appears to be spread over the primitive catapult, the scanner, and great wall strengthening. Given our current status, constructing the great wall strengthening should be our top priority. There are an approximated 60-90 zombies attacking tonight, with our town only having 60 points of defense.

I semi-intentionally infected myself by eating a meaty bone to staunch my hunger. Some friends are wanting to start a coalition in a new town, and so I figured I will see if I get infected :)

Jungle of the Headless - Day 2

Day 2 is closing up in our town, with very little drama to report.

So far we have managed to build a workshop, portal lock, armour plating, and the watchtower. Not too bad for the second day! It's not all positive news, as three citizens have been shunned due to exploiting the town bank and using the items stolen to build their personal hovels. While these do add to the overall defense of the town, they cost precious resources which would be better kept for town upgrades and construction.

It's going to be a close call with the number of zombies heading to our town, but fingers crossed we do not die tonight.

Jungle of the Headless - Day 1

Day 1 in the town passed without too much incident.
20 zombies attacked our town at night, but we were able to hold them off with a defense of 33. No deaths were reported inside the town, however 5 victims were outside the gates when the zombies attacked.

A few hovels were built, as well as the portal lock, but these all contributed towards our town defense. Is it not possible that these were not which ensured our survival?
